Anritsu MT9083C2 ACCESS Master
The Anritsu MT9083C2 is an Ultra High-Performance Access Master, with an improved range with full support of 1 × 128 PON. This Anritsu model incorporates an optical light source for fiber identification estimations as a standard tool. The fiber identification estimation has a comparatively simple technique to approximate the area of a break point in an optical fiber. Utilizing the unit's optical light source to infuse light at a particular wavelength and regulation into the fiber under test, you would then be able to utilize a fiber identifier to find the break, by finding the segment of fiber where the signal drops off.
In this model, the adjustment of options compensates the difference in length and obtains improved splice location and loss measurement. You can utilize the IOR/BSC dialog box to choose one of the pre-set Fiber Types, which consequently sets the IOR (Index of Refraction) and BSC (Backscatter Coefficient) for the selected fiber type, or select "Other" and utilize the Numeric keypad to enter the wanted IOR and BSC settings.
