Anritsu S332E Cable and Antenna Analyzer
The Anritsu S332E is a ruggedized, portable cable and antenna analyzer that provides high-performance spectrum analysis for wireless communications infrastructure engineers to utilize in their daily work. As such, the S332E measures a wide range of frequencies (from 2 MHz to 4 GHz) as part of its primary cable/antenna testing capability and also measures a much wider frequency range (from 100 kHz to 4 GHz) with its secondary spectrum analysis function. Due to its portability and versatility, this cable/antenna analyzer was developed to allow engineers to measure antenna systems and coaxial feeders to locate and identify problems like damaged cables, corroded connectors, and misaligned antennas using measurements like return loss, VSWR, cable loss and DTF.
An important feature of the S332E is the multi-functionality of the analyzer itself; the analyzer has been engineered to provide many of the features found on multiple separate instruments in one single instrument. Besides being able to perform the standard cable and antenna analysis functions, the S332E can also be configured to perform two-port transmission measurements, very accurate power measurements, and detailed interference analysis. The analyzer also contains a built-in Bias Tee for powering tower-mounted amplifiers and a built-in GPS receiver for geotagging measured data and improving the accuracy of frequency measurements. Also, due to the rugged design of the analyzer, its water-resistant enclosure and long-life battery, combined with the large bright screen and user-friendly interface, the S332E is an ideal instrument for use by installers, maintenance personnel and repair personnel who need to conduct measurements and tests in a variety of different locations and environments, ranging from cellular towers to broadcasting stations.
For users performing spectrum management activities, the S332E is an excellent choice for identifying and tracking down interfering signals. The analyzer contains a number of tools that assist in identifying interfering signals, including spectrogram displays to show how a signal behaves over time, channel power measurements, and adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) analysis. The analyzer can be calibrated in a number of ways, including InstaCal, which is a proprietary method of calibration that is very fast, allowing for less time to set up and begin making measurements. Additionally, Anritsu's Master Software Tools (MST) allows for the easy management and reporting of data collected with the S332E analyzer, providing complete trace comparison, trace editing and professional report creation capabilities.
