EXFO MAX-945-SM1 Optical Loss Test Set
The EXFO MAX-945-SM1 Optical Loss Test Set (OLTS) is a class-1 fiber-verification solution for single-mode fiber network validations for data centers and enterprises, quickly and with accuracy. The solution, in compact, hand-held design, brings a 7-inch, high-definition touchscreen with comfortable, intuitive, Windows-like user experience for simple, speedy deployments and low training requirements. The OLTS conducts single pass testing for bidirectional insertion loss (IL), optical return loss (ORL), and fiber length, and tests fiber against industry specifications such as ANSI/TIA, ISO/IEC, and more. The OLTS supports FastTest™, with two fiber certifications, two wavelengths in 2.6 seconds, and with substantial savings on testing times for large deployments.
Equipped with its on-board Encircled-Flux-conforming source, the MAX-945-SM1 provides testing accuracy for multi-modes with ISO/IEC 14763-3 conformance without the use of outside mode conditioning. The fiber can be measured with the utilization of the FIP-400B analyzer, with pass/fail endface connector testing in a single step with zero human interpretation errors. The analyzer has 850 nm up to 1650 nm wavelength and a single-mode range up to 160 kilometers with its GeX detector.
Real-time continuity testing and onboard diagnostics walk the technician step-by-step through testing processes, and alarm/indicative signals and margins meters also aid in troubleshooting. OLTS generates professional quality PDF report on the analyzer, such as pass/fail status, margins, and abnormalities. Results can be batch-processed for big data management with the use of FastReporter software, such as custom report formats and connectivity with the cloud via EXFO Exchange for collaborative environments.
The MAX-945-SM1 has solutions for easy-plug use such as a fiber breakup and fiber bend up to 5 kilometers with a visual fault locator. The 12-hour battery, two USB ports, and wireless data transfer via WiFi/Bluetooth. OLTS for LC, SC, and FC connectors and optimized for maximum performance for use on data centers, structured cabling, and network troubleshooting, with first-right-through testing and minimal down time.
