Keysight/Agilent P5000A Streamline USB Vector Network Analyzer
The Keysight P5000A works as a 2-port vector network analyzer to handle RF and microwave measurements across a frequency span of 9 kHz to 4.5 GHz. It is housed in a rackmount form factor and fits naturally into structured and automated test racks. The two ports of the unit are fitted with 3.5 mm female connectors alongside an MCX connector option for flexible interfacing. Its port impedance is held at 50 ohms across both channels, maintaining consistent signal integrity throughout the measurement chain. The stimulus control on the VNA is handled through an output power rating of 13 dBm with a power sweep range running from -60 dBm all the way to +13 dBm. The maximum output power ceiling under operating conditions stands at 10 dBm. The harmonic performance is specified at -25 dBc, which helps in keeping spurious content well below the measurement signal during swept tests. The instrument operates with a single-source configuration that covers the full set of two-port S-parameter measurements, including S11, S21, S12, and S22.
The P5000A USB vector network analyzer carries a dynamic range of 149 dB, which is substantial for an instrument in this class. A noise floor of -136 dBm allows the analyzer to detect and resolve very weak signals buried close to the instrument's sensitivity limit.
The unit, in terms of temperature, is qualified for use between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius for proper functioning. The rackmount housing integrates cleanly into 19-inch rack systems commonly found in automated test environments.
