ADLINK PXI-2010 Data Acquisition Card
The ADLINK PXI-2010 is a high-speed data acquisition card that was developed for use in precision measurement and automated test systems. This module has been built around a 32-bit PCI architecture and is intended for applications where there is a need for high performance and high reliability in areas like automotive testing, laboratory automation, and biomedical instrumentation. This is because the ADLINK PXI-2010 will allow users to accurately measure and analyze their dynamic signals.
There are four differential analog input channels that can be used simultaneously by the user to ensure that they can measure multiple channels at one time without losing accuracy or having to slow down the sampling rate. The ADLINK PXI-2010 is equipped with a 14-bit Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) that allows for sampling rates of up to 2 MS/s; therefore, it can easily capture transients and other rapidly changing events. Additionally, a large 8K sample A/D FIFO buffer helps prevent data from being lost when acquiring data at very high speeds. Users have a wide range of choices regarding how to set the input range, allowing them to choose bipolar or unipolar voltage levels depending upon the type of application they are using the ADLINK PXI-2010 for.
Advanced triggering capabilities include software and external digital and analog trigger options that give the user complete control over the timing of acquisitions. There are also two analog outputs that can be used to generate waveforms with a 12K-bit resolution and a 2K sample FIFO. In addition to analog and digital I/O, the PXI-2010 provides 24 digital I/O lines, synchronous digital inputs and general purpose timers/counters to provide a complete solution for integrating a variety of different system components.
To facilitate the use of the ADLINK PXI-2010, ADLINK provides its Measurement, Automation, and Platform Services (MAPS) software development kit. This kit includes device drivers for the C/C++, LabVIEW and C# programming languages. The MAPS Core package provides the user with basic device management functions along with the ability to configure DMA buffers, which greatly simplifies both the process of setting up and operating the PXI-2010 DAQ Card.
