The OmniBus MIL-STD-1553 module (Part Number: 121-540) is a cPCI (3U) 1 Core module with CH) Level C functionality. This CompactPCI/PXI Module empowers PCs and systems to interface with numerous databases for testing, approving and reenacting business and military flight hardware and frameworks. These flexible units can be controlled through Ethernet or USB or can be customized to work independent. Promptly accessible as Commercial Off-The-Shelf items, this module is ideal for testing reproduction, test, interface, crossing over, control, recreation and information recording applications.
With the use of this module, clients can confirm wave frame compatibilities, test elements of transport shorts and opens, and—when joined with CoPilot® programming—perform lab generation and flight test check. This software is the best choice for OmniBus devices because it has the capability to host several databuses, cards, and channels. It can also be used effortlessly with Windows. Another choice is for the user to create their own customized software with the use of the BTIDriver API. The included library has a wide variety of features for many types of requirements.
Since this is a Level C product, the Ballard Technology OmniBus MIL-STD-1553 module has 32 simultaneous terminals, programmable bus termination, protocol error injection, filtering for terminal address, concurrent terminal monitoring, and filtering for subaddress. Other features of the OmniBus MIL-STD-1553 module include: a programmable onboard PowerPC processor, protocol processing, support for all 1553 message types, the simulation of several terminals, and the capability to alter the waveform.
