The Keysight J3444A Fast Ethernet The undercradle is placed directly under an Agilent Advisor WAN or WAN/ATM mainframe. In doing so, it adds full 10/100 Mbps Ethernet analysis capabilities to your portable field test kit. This under-cradle allows you to test and troubleshoot your LAN, WAN, and ATM networks using the same unit. It assists enterprise-level engineers in installing, certifying their networks, and isolating problems in large, multi-media network systems. This unit has a familiar Windows-based interface, which greatly reduces the amount of training required and provides much faster access to protocol decodes, live performance dashboards, etc.
The J3444A uses expert advisor diagnostics to allow a technician to quickly drill down from high-level alerts to root causes of problems. Network vitals and real-time statistics provide early warning signs of impending bottlenecks before they affect users. Also, built-in commentators take complex protocol events and turn them into plain language guidance. Seven-layer decoding is available on all major protocol suites, providing complete transparency of frames.
The Traffic Generation Tool also allows you to replay captured network scenarios or inject custom load patterns to stress-test links and verify switch configurations. Auto-sensing 10BaseT/100BaseTX ports, a second RJ-45 port for passive monitoring in switched segments (with taps), legacy AUI and MII connectors for older media types, and copper connectivity options are available. An optional slide-in module, the J3445A Fiber Interface Module, provides a native 100BaseFX interface (dual SC connectors for multi-mode fibers @ 1300 nm). With this module installed, you can connect straight into your fiber backbones or switch uplinks. This Streamlined, All-in-One Approach Eliminates Additional Adapters Required when Testing Copper and Fiber Fast Ethernet Links with a Single Unit. As such, service providers and enterprise-level IT staff have a practical solution for verifying new fiber terminations, hunting intermittent errors, benchmarking network throughput, etc. The J3444A Undercradle provides a focused, efficient testing platform to extend the family of advisors into the LAN domain.
