Keysight/Agilent J6824A E1/T1 Line Interface Module
The J6824A from Keysight/Agilent is an Eight-Port E1/T1 Line Interface Module provides a fully portable and hot-swappable module that will allow you to test 3G mobile backhaul ATM Inverse Multiplexing for ATM (IMA) and other applications in the field using your existing MX analyzer platform. Allowing for safe swapping of modules without having to cycle off power means you'll have continuous uptime during critical field diagnostics. Additionally, this is the first-ever eight-port ATM IMA analysis available on a hand-held unit, significantly reducing the cost-per-port associated with monitoring these types of systems as well as allowing you to use one platform to analyze everything from physical layer testing of E1/T1 lines to inspecting Gigabit Ethernet WANs.
Each port can be set up independently to accept either an E1 or T1 signal with framing standards that include HDB3, AMI, B8ZS, CRC-4, ESF, and D4. This module's RJ-48C connectors are designed to accept both balanced 100-ohm T1 and 120-ohm E1 and unbalanced 75-ohm E1 signals. Three different cable options are available which enable users to break-out to Bantam, BNC or RJ-45 connections for passive monitoring tap configurations. Users have several receiver mode options for configuration of their modules to include high impedance bridged, terminated monitoring, and a monitor jack with selectable attenuation; thru/bridge pairings create four non-invasive full duplex links. Physical-layer faults can be identified immediately through simultaneous tracking of LOS, LOF, AIS, RAI, code violations, and CRC errors across all eight ports.
In addition to its ability to perform multi-port ATM, IMA and ISDN PRI decode analyses in the Network Analyzer application, it also performs multi-port channelized HDLC (SS7, Frame Relay and ISDN), and TRAU 16k framing in the Signaling Analyzer Real Time Application. It has the capability of performing real time full rate AAL2 and AAL5 reassembly on over 4000 virtual channels across combined IMA streams or individual ports while passing reassembled packets for protocol decode. The J6824A has the ability to measure ATM policing and traffic contracts at a single point as well as measuring CDV at a single point. Therefore, a single Field Analyzer covers physical layer diagnostic capabilities up to signaling level diagnostic capabilities for 2G, 2.5G and 3G Mobile Backhaul.
