Keysight M9130A PXI SPDT Switch
The Keysight M9130A is a 26-channel PXI switch module designed to use single-pole double-throw (SPDT) Form C robust armature relays to provide the ability to route medium-power AC and DC loads in automated test systems. Each channel on this device has the capability to switch up to 250 Vrms and 2 amps and has a 60-watt maximum power limit, which will allow you to control solenoids, power supplies, and larger slave relays or contactors.
The module has a typical switching time of 2.7 ms and an average resistance of less than 500 milliohms when routed, allowing for very efficient low-loss signal routing. In addition to its fast-switching times, the M9130A also features a high-bandwidth 5 MHz capability to allow for the handling of lower-frequency signals. Connection to the unit is via a 78-pin D-sub connector that accepts standard cable assemblies for wiring. The module is designed for use within a PXI chassis and has a J1 connector; therefore, it can be placed in PXI, PXI-1, or PXIe hybrid slots. As such, the M9130A provides a small-footprint, rugged solution for your manufacturing test, data acquisition, and industrial automation applications.
One of the greatest strengths of the M9130A is its software integration capabilities. Keysight's IO Libraries Suite will recognize the M9130A as part of a suite of other PXI, PXIe, and AXIe devices, thereby reducing driver configuration complexity. When shipped from Keysight, the M9130A includes both IVI-COM and IVI-C instrument drivers and LabVIEW instrument drivers; each supports many of today's most popular development environments, including LabVIEW, MATLAB, Visual Studio C/C++, C#, and LabWindows/CVI.
Additionally, a graphical soft-front panel exists for engineers to easily configure their switch states interactively without having to code. To accelerate test sequence development, ready-to-run example applications are included demonstrating the base functionality for LabVIEW, C, C++, C#, VB, and MATLAB. By combining these software tools with simple replacement of hardware components and easy update of drivers, Keysight has created a long-lasting investment protection mechanism for your future test systems.
