Keysight/Agilent M9131A PXI SPDT Switch
The Keysight/Agilent M9131A is a high-density PXI switching module that was developed to be used on automation test systems and also as a means to route industrial signals. This module has 64 channels of single pole/double throw (SPDT) form "C" reed relays. Allowing you to manage your signals in one PXI slot, each channel is able to handle signals at or below 100 Vrms and will carry 1 ampere, switch 0.25 amps, and produce 3 watts of power. The reed relays provide a typical operate time of 2.7 ms and a nominal on-resistance of approximately 400 mΩ, allowing for quick and reliable switching at frequencies up to 10 MHz. The modules are connected using a standard 200-pin LFH (Low Force Helix) connector that allows for a high channel density while keeping cabling complexity to a minimum.
The module comes pre-integrated with Keysight's IO Libraries Suite and a Soft Front Panel; this means you will be able to configure and control your device immediately upon receipt, without having to write a single line of code. In addition to the libraries suite and soft front panel, Keysight has provided additional development tools, including IVI-COM, IVI-C, and LabVIEW drivers along with example code for MATLAB, Visual Studio C/C++, C#, and Visual Basic. The additional tools allow users to integrate their module quickly and easily into their existing software framework and decrease their programming overhead. The M9131A is available in a PXI format with a J1 connector that is compatible with all PXI, CompactPCI, and PXIe hybrid chassis slots.
The flexibility of the M9131A makes it suitable for use in various industrial applications, including semiconductor validation, electronic component functional testing, data acquisition scanning, and complex manufacturing test stands. The module uses long-life reed relays that excel when used in repetitive test applications requiring many state changes, such as lifecycle stress tests and production-line signal path audits. The ability of the module to pack 64 switches into a small footprint allows engineers to expand their test capacity without increasing the amount of physical space required.
