Keysight 34401A Digital Multimeter
The Keysight 34401A is a 6.5-digit digital multimeter that will be used for measuring precision in high-end laboratory benchtop and automation system testing. This high-quality meter will deliver precise measurements for DC and AC voltage, DC and AC current, resistance, frequency, and period, along with its own continuity test and diode testing functions. The primary feature of this meter is high resolution (along with excellent accuracy) with the ability to measure quickly, which makes it suitable for use in both research & development and production test environments. The Digital Multimeter provides high-quality data collection that will help validate circuit functionality and ensure product quality.
To enable system integration, the Keysight 34401A has a fast and high-capacity bus that can stream up to 1,000 readings/sec to a controller via GPIB (the standard interface). In addition to GPIB, it also supports RS-232 and other features such as external trigger and TTL Pass/Fail output to allow for easy coordination between instruments in larger test racks. System compatibility is ensured by supporting several command languages, including SCPI, Agilent 3478A, and Fluke 8840A/42A. Data logging and troubleshooting are made easier with the 512 points of internal memory available to store readings.
Through the use of an easy-to-use front panel and advanced menu functions, the operational efficiency of the 34401A is greatly increased. The Agilent IntuiLink software that comes with the multimeter further simplifies communication between the multimeter and computer, enabling users to capture and analyze data in popular PC applications, such as Microsoft Excel, so that data may be immediately interpreted and reported. The 34401A DMM is delivered as a total solution, and includes a test lead set that contains various attachments, and full documentation to allow engineers to have a solid and dependable instrument at their disposal to address a wide range of electrical measurement needs.
