Keysight M9133A PXI SPST Switch
The Keysight M9133A PXI Switch Module is an SPST (single pole single throw), single-pole, single-throw reed relay-based 100-channel switch module for use within automated test equipment, which must route a very high number of signals with both a high level of density and at a high rate. The PXI switch module provides high density and speed for use in the areas of manufacturing functional testing, semiconductor characterization, and R&D validation systems by allowing you to easily switch your DUTs, instruments, loads, etc., without using multiple PXI slots. With each individual channel able to switch up to 100V rms and 1A with up to 25W of power being handled by the relay, this switch module makes it easy to provide low-frequency signal routing as well as power supply sequencing and sensor multiplexing.
The Keysight M9133A utilizes its 200-pin low force helix (LFH) connector to connect all 100 channels together. The M9133A also has a matching cable/terminal block accessory available that will allow you to provide a breakout for field wiring. Utilizing this high-density interface will greatly reduce cabling clutter and improve maintainability within rack-mounted test systems. Reed relays have typical switching times of approximately 350 microseconds; therefore, the module can be used to perform fast scan lists and rapid fault isolation procedures. As well as having a typical switching time of 350 microseconds, the M9133A has a bandwidth of 5 MHz and an initial path resistance of less than 0.5 ohms, ensuring signal integrity when passing analog waveforms or precise DC references.
The M9133A can be installed into any PXI chassis that contains a J1 connector. This includes hybrid PXIe slots. As such, the M9133A is fully compatible with prior versions of Keysight products. Users will find that Keysight provides IVI-COM, IVI-C, and LabVIEW drivers to be compatible with various programming languages such as Visual Studio, LabWindows/CVI, and MATLAB. A soft front panel is available to enable engineers to easily configure their relays in addition to ready-to-run code examples to reduce integration time. Furthermore, since the M9133A complies with IVI standards, users should expect little difficulty in converting their applications to operate with other Keysight switches by simply modifying their software slightly.
