Keysight M9035A PXIe Embedded Controller
The Keysight M9035A is an affordable, compact PXIe embedded PC controller running Windows 10 that fits a wide range of industrial automation and test systems. It has a quad-core i3-8100H processor operating at 3.0 GHz (four threads), providing reliable medium-level computing performance in single-chassis applications requiring multiple cores but no more than what would be considered acceptable regarding heat and costs.
The Keysight M9035A provides up to 32GB of DDR4 2400 SODIMM memory, with one 16GB module pre-installed. A front panel, 256GB solid-state drive (SSD), using thumbscrew screws, allows for fast removal for use in secure environments or for quickly wiping all data. The ability to remove this SSD as needed, along with the TPM 2.0 and UEFI Secure Boot capabilities, makes the Keysight M9035A suitable for defense, aerospace, and other sensitive industrial applications requiring hardware-based security.
All connectivity options are located on the front panel. They include four USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, dual-Gigabit Ethernet connections, two DisplayPort++ video outputs, and one GPIB connection. The integrated UHD 630 graphics with two dual-mode DisplayPort++ ports allow for multi-monitor configurations to be established natively through DisplayPort or HDMI adapters. This will simplify the creation of operator stations and HMI displays for use on the manufacturing floor.
For measurement applications that generate large amounts of data, the PCI Express Gen 3 Backplane Interface of the Keysight M9035A provides high-speed communication with a PXIe chassis utilizing either a two-link or four-link configuration. This configuration can provide up to 16 GB/s of bandwidth from the CPU to the backplane. This amount of bandwidth will prevent bottlenecks when connected to high-speed digitizers, RF instrumentation, and modular data acquisition systems. Examples of typical applications include automated production testing, semiconductor validation, in-vehicle data logging, and industrial machine condition monitoring. The Keysight M9035A comes complete with necessary drivers, Keysight IO libraries, VISA, and Connection Expert software to facilitate integration into a PXIe test rack as soon as possible, thereby reducing initial setup time and increasing the rate of deployment for automated verification solutions.
