The part number 778998-01 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the PXI-6723 PXI Analog Output Module. This output module features 32 voltage output channels with 13 bit resolution. Using local FIFO, its maximum update rate is 204 kS per second while using host PC memory, its maximum update rate is 45 kS per second. It has double buffered voltage digital to analog convertor DAC and offers FIFO buffer memory size of 2,047 samples, 3 DMA channels and a data transfer method of DMA with scatter gather technique, interrupts, and programmed I/O.

This PXI analog output module offers a wide range of voltage outputs of ±10 V and an output coupling of DC. It offers a low output impedance of 0.1 Ω maximum and an output current drive of ±5 mA maximum. It has a protective feature of short circuit to ground that protects the module from any potential damage. This module requires a power 300 mA at +3.3 VDC and 1.5 A typical at +5 VDC and power of +4.65 to +5.25 VDC at 1 A available at I/O connector.

Physically, this module has dimensions of 16 cm × 10 cm (6.3 in. × 3.9 in.) and two 68-pin VHDCI I/O connector that allows this module to integrate into many other digital devices. This module has maximum working voltage of ±11 V channel to earth and ±22 V channel to channel. With this feature, it allow this analog output module to operate smoothly and safely within its design limits. This module does not feature ingress protection which means it cannot be used in environments where dust and moisture are common.

This PXI module is engineered to operate at suitable temperature of 0 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius and storage temperature of -20 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius with a relative humidity of 5% to 90% RH, noncondensing. This module can be mounted at maximum height of 2000 meters and has a pollution degree of 2. It is compatible with many safety standards such as the  IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, CSA C22.2 NO. 61010-1 that makes this module suitable for measurement, control, and laboratory use.
