National Instruments 777318-140 Strain/Bridge Input Module for Compact FieldPoint
Part Number 777318-140 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments cFP-SG-140 Strain/Bridge Input Module for Compact FieldPoint. The 777318-140 features 8 differential input channels that are connected to a delta-sigma ADC having a resolution of 16 bits. The filters can be tuned to frequencies of 15, 60, or 240 Hz while the excitation voltage can be tuned to 2.5, 5, or 10 V. Note that the current is limited to 21 mA per channel. The 777318-140 supports multiple bridge configurations: full bridge, half-bridge, or quarter bridge.
The gauge factor is set through the software while the input impedance is 20 MΩ. The gain errors and offset errors are temperature-dependent. Furthermore, the input noise for a 60 Hz filter is ±3 LSBpp between ± 3.5 mV/V, ±2 LSBpp between ± 7.5 mV/V and ±1 LSBpp in other ranges. The 777318-140 draws 1 W of power from the network module. The maximum isolation voltage between the channel and the ground is 250 Vrms and comes under Measurement Category II. There is no isolation between the channels.
The input module measures (4.3 by 4.2 by 3.6 in.) in physical dimensions and weighs 3.7 oz. It features 3 LED indicators: POWER (green) indicating power is on and self-test is passed, READY (green) indicating module is configured and ready, and OVERCURRENT (red) indicates the overcurrent condition on the channel.The 777318-140 is recommended for use in between the temperature ranges of -40 to 60 °C at a relative humidity of 10% to 90%. Similarly, these modules are only designed for indoor use and the user must mount it inside a sealed enclosure for outdoor use. Likewise, the module is to be operated within a maximum altitude of 2000m. On the other hand, it can be stored at a wider range of -55 to 85 °C. The module satisfies the requirements of CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 1010.1, IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 3121-1, and UL 61010C-1 safety standards.
