National Instruments 777318-304 Digital Input Module for Compact FieldPoint
National Instruments part number 777318-304 is an identifying part number for the cFP-DI-304 a Digital Input Module for Compact FieldPoint with 32 Input channels, sinking input type and input range of 10 to 30 VDC. This module monitors voltage levels of signals and is compatible with cFP devices. It interfaces with the Compact FieldPoint backplane and provides isolation between modules, protecting the Compact FieldPoint system and controller from high voltages. The NI 777318-01 is primarily used for monitoring limit switches, power circuits, and relay closures.
It is also compatible with TTL devices. National Instruments cFP-DI-3xx devices are versatile digital input modules for Compact FieldPoint systems. These modules monitor digital signals from low-voltage levels up to 250 V. They are commonly used for monitoring proximity and limit switches, pushbutton switches, thermostat outputs, relay closures, power circuits, and TTL devices. All modules include onboard diagnostics to ensure easy installation and maintenance. Additionally, this module provides continuous isolation of 250 Vrms between its channels and backplane, but the channels are not isolated from each other.
It can withstand transient voltages of 2300 Vrms for 5 seconds. Each input channel has a green indicator light, along with additional green lights for POWER and READY status. The module is powered by the network module and requires 1 watt of power. It includes a current-limiting feature to prevent damage. The module updates all channels at a rate of 1 kHz, with overall data throughput depending on network speed and software. External calibration is recommended at least once a year. It has a 68-position VHDCI female I/O connectors. Moreover, each channel on this module includes current-limiting circuitry to prevent module damage when connected directly to a 24 VDC source.
