National Instruments 785624-01 CompactRIO Controller

National Instruments part number 785624-01 is the identifying part number for the cRIO-9040 CompactRIO Controller. This cRIO Controller features an Intel Atom E3930 CPU processor with 2 cores having CPU frequencies of 1.3 GHz (base) and 1.8 GHz (burst). The 785624-01 controller supports 2 ethernet ports 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, and 1000Base-T Ethernet network interface autonegotiated with 10 Mb/s, 100 Mb/s, 1,000 Mb/s, auto-negotiated communication rates. Each port can handle a maximum cabling distance of 100 meters per segment and is compatible with IEEE 802.3 standards.

For serial communication, the 785624-01 CompactRIO Controller provides both RS-232 ports and RS-485. The RS-232 port and RS-485 port support a maximum baud rate of 115,200 b/s and 230,400 b/s and both can be configured for data bits, stop bits, parity, and flow control. For data bits, it can be configured as 5, 6, 7, 8, for Stop bits 1, 2, for Parity Odd, Even, Mark, Space, and for Flow control RTS/CTS, XON/XOFF, DTR/DSR. It is also equipped with USB ports supporting up to three ports. Port 1 is USB Type-A with a maximum data rate of 480 Mb/s, and port 2 is USB Type-C with a maximum data rate of 5 Gb/s while port 3 is USB Type-C, dual role port with a maximum data rate of 5 Gb/s.

The 785624-01 has a reconfigurable FPGA of type Xilinx Kintex-7 7K70T. It consists of 82,000 flip-flops, 41,000 6-input LUTs, 240 DSP slices (18 × 25 multipliers), and an available block RAM of 4,860 kbits with 16 DMA channels and 32 logical interrupts, offering extensive resources for accurate timing and synchronization.  

In terms of ambient environmental conditions, this module can work at temperatures of -20 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius and a suitable storage temperature of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius. The 785624-01has an operating relative humidity range of  10% RH to 90% RH, noncondensing, and storage relative humidity range of 5% RH to 95% RH, noncondensing. It has an IP protection rating of IP20 thus making this module dust and touchproof. This module is designed for indoor use only where nonconductive pollution occurs.
