National Instruments sbRIO-9628 CompactRIO Single-Board Controller

The sbRIO-9628 is a CompactRIO Single-Board Controller. The manufacturer of the NI sbRIO-9628 is National Instruments. The sbRIO-9628 is available in two different versions: a development kit and an OEM kit. These controllers can be ordered with part numbers 787296-01 and 787296-02 respectively. The NI sbRIO-9628 is an embedded controller featuring different components on a PCB board. The PCB board of the sbRIO-9628 is equipped with a processor, I/O channels, and a FPGA. A real-time processor and a reconfigurable FPGA are also incorporated.

This CompactRIO Single-Board Controller supports C Series modules and I/O. The I/O channels of the NI sbRIO-9628 can be expanded. A CompactDAQ or a FieldDAQ module is required for the I/O expansion of the sbRIO-9628. This Single-Board Controller has two Ethernet ports with TSN support. The NI sbRIO-9628 can also offer display through the USB host port. Several other ports are also available in the sbRIO-9628, including 4 USB ports, a CAN port, a display port, 3 serial ports, and an SD port.   

The NI sbRIO-9628 offers simultaneous connection with two I/O modules from the C Series. The sbRIO-9628 incorporates a 1.33 GHz dual core processor and 1 GB RAM. An Artix-7 FPGA by Xilinx is also installed in the CompactRIO Single-Board Controller. The Controller has 4 analog output channels. The output rate of the NI sbRIO-9628 is 100 kS/s/ch. The resolution of the output channels is 16-bit. The sbRIO-9628 is suitable for OEM applications due to its flexibility and reliability to deliver high-performance.

sbRIO-9628 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the CompactRIO Single-Board Controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
