National Instruments 778729-01 Sound and Vibration Device

The part number 778729-01 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the PCI-4474 Sound and Vibration Device. This module features 4 simultaneously sampled input channels that are configurable to pseudodifferential with an 24 bit delta sigma analog to digital convertor. Its sampling rate ranges from 102.4 kS/s down to 1.0 kS/s in 190.7 μS/s sample per second. Its FIFO buffer memory size is 1,023 samples with a data transfer technique of Direct Memory Access (DMA). The device supports AC/DC coupling, offering flexibility in measuring both alternating and direct current signals. It has overvoltage protection of ±42.4 V with a frequency accuracy of ±25 ppm.

This PCI Sound and Vibration Device has maximum working voltage of 42 V channel to earth and channel to channel. To power this module, 0 mA current is required at +3.3 VDC, 2,000 mA, maximum current at +5 VDC and 120 mA, maximum at +12 VDC. This module has compact structure with dimensions of 17.5 cm × 10.7 cm (6.9 × 4.2 in.) with SMB male analog I/O connector and SMB male digital trigger connector. It weighs 184 g (6.5 oz).

It also features analog triggers and digital triggers. The analog triggers can be routed through 0 to 3 with PX trigger lines and has a 24 bit resolution. While the digital triggers 5 V TTL/CMOS compatible with a rising or falling edge polarity and a minimum pulse width of 100 ns. It is compatible with 3.3 V or 5 V bus interface and has 1 analog input DMA channels.  

This 778729-01 module is designed to operate at an ambient temperature of 0 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius with operating humidity of 10% to 90%, noncondensing and storage temperature of -20 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius with storage humidity of 5% to 95%, noncondensing. This module is intended for indoor use only and can be mounted at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level with a pollution degree of 2. It has operating shocks of 30 g peak, half-sine, 11 ms pulse with random operating vibrations of 5 to 500 Hz, 0.3 grms.
