The part number 778465-01 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the PCI-6036E Multifunction I/O Device. This I/O Device comprises 16 single-ended or 8 differential analog input channels that are software selectable having a successive approximation analog to digital converter (ADC) of 16 bits resolution allowing for highly detailed and precise measurement. It offers various input voltage ranges to accommodate different measurement needs. It has overvoltage protection of ±25 when powered ON and ±15 when powered OFF. It also features a FIFO buffer of size 512 Samples and 1 DMA channel with a data transfer method of Direct Memory Access, interrupts, and programmed I/O. 

The 778465-01 Multifunction I/O Device is equipped with amplifiers to enhance its performance and capabilities in signal acquisition and data processing. The amplifier has an input impedance of 100 GΩ in parallel with 100 pF with the device ON and 820 Ω with powered OFF. The Multifunction I/O Device has 16 bit 2 voltage analog output channels and a maximum update rate of 10 kHz based on DMA and 1 kHz based on interrupts. It has a variable voltage output of ±10 V and output coupling of DC. It offers a very low output impedance of 0.1 Ω max and a current drive of ±5 mA max with a short circuit to ground protection feature.

This module has physical dimensions of 17.5 cm × 10.6 cm (6.9 in. × 4.2 in.) with a weight of 114 g (4.0 oz). It also consists of a 68-pin male SCSI-II type I/O connector that allows easy integration into other digital devices. To power up this module, +5 VDC at 0.9 A is required with a +4.65 to +5.25 VDC at 1 A power availability at I/O connector.

The I/O module is required to be operated at an ambient temperature of 0 to 55 degrees Celsius and a suitable storage temperature of -20 to 70 degrees Celsius with a relative humidity of 10 to 90%, noncondensing. With compatibility with many international standards including safety and EMC, this device gives its best performance.
