National Instruments 777518-111 Analog Input Module

Part number 777518-111 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments FP-AI-111 Analog Input Module. The module features 16 single-ended analog current input channels with three input ranges: ±20, 0–20, and 4–20 mA. Likewise, it has a Delta-sigma ADC whose resolution is 16 bits at 50 or 60 Hz and 12 bits at 500 Hz. The input impedance is 100 Ω while the overcurrent protection is ±30 mA.

The filter settings of the 777518-111 are software-selectable by channel. For the 50 Hz filter, the update time is 1.23 s whereas the input bandwidth is 13 Hz. Likewise, the 60 Hz filter has an update time of 1.05 s and an input bandwidth of 16 Hz while for the 500 Hz filter, it is 0.29 s and 130 Hz respectively. While the input module is in operation, it draws 350 mW of power from the network module. There is no channel-to-channel isolation and the transient overvoltage can reach up to 2300 Vrms. 

The 777518-111 weighs 4.8 oz and features two green POWER and READY indicators. The POWER LED lights up when the module is inserted into a terminal base and power is applied to the connected module. Similarly, when the network module recognizes the device and sends the initial configuration, the READY LED lights up after the module receives the configuration. Note that the module is hot-swappable, meaning it doesn’t affect the operation of the bank while it is inserted.

The recommended temperature range for the operation of the 777518-111 is –40 to 70 °C at a relative humidity of up to 10% to 90% RH. Likewise, the device is only meant to be used in indoor spaces and within a maximum altitude of 2000m (mount the device inside a sealed enclosure for outdoor use). On the other hand, it can be stored at –55 to 85 °C.
