The National Instruments 785172-01 (PXIe-7911) Coprocessor Module is designed to enhance PXI Express systems by integrating a Xilinx Kintex UltraScale KU035 FPGA. This module provides advanced signal processing capabilities that are programmable using NI LabVIEW or Xilinx Vivado. It supports high speed data streaming to and from other PXI modules. It leverages the x8 Gen 3 PCI Express architecture to achieve data rates of up to 7 GB/s without needing a host controller. This high throughput makes it ideal for real time processing that allows it to pair effectively with other PXI instruments such as vector signal transceivers to execute complex algorithms in real time.

The KU035 FPGA in this module 785172-01 offers a reconfigurable architecture with 203,128 LUTs and 1,700 DSP48 slices which allows for extensive signal processing operations that include complex mathematical functions. Its 19.0 Mb block RAM enables efficient memory usage for high performance applications. This reconfigurability makes it suitable for tasks that demand moderate signal processing power in fields like communications, control systems and automated test equipment. The NI 785172-01 supports multiple connection resources such as PXI triggers, PXI_CLK10, PXIe_DStarB/C and PXIe_Sync100.
