National Instruments PXI-1422 IMAQ Device

The NI PXI-1422 IMAQ Device uses a 64 KB-by-16 bits lookup table (LUT) that can be used for two 256 B-by-8 bit LUT tasks or one 64 KB-by-16-bit lookup table. The user can arrange this LUT to perform straightforward imaging tasks, including: contrast enhancement, data inversion, gamma manipulation, or other nonlinear transfer capacities. There are two model numbers: the 777933-01 for RS-422 Digital Cameras and the 777933-02 for LVDS Digital Cameras.

This model includes a multiple-tap data formatter function. Numerous digital cameras exchange different channels, or taps, of information at the same time to expand the frame rate of the camera. In any case, the information in each tap may not be moved in the traditional top-left to bottom-right direction. Likewise, the taps may not transfer information in similar ways. The multiple-tap data formatting circuitry on the NI PXI-1422 can reorder the information from up to two 8-bit taps. The information from each tap can be freely checked either from left-to-right or right-to-left and top-to-bottom or bottom-to-top.

The trigger control and mapping circuitry routes included in this model screens and drives the outside and RTSI bus trigger lines. The user can map pulses from the high-speed timing circuitry or many the NI PXI-1422 IMAQ Device’s status signals to these trigger lines. There are four outer and four RTSI bus triggers.

This model also offers a high-speed timing circuitry, built from rapid counters, that enables the user to indicate or create exact, real-time control signals. The user can map the output of this circuitry to a trigger line to provide exact pulses and pulse trains.
