National Instruments PXI-6233 PXI Multifunction I/O Module
The National Instruments PXI-6233 (Part Number: 779620-01) is a PXI Multifunction I/O Module with 16 Analog Input channels, 2 Analog Output channels, 4 Sinking Digital Outputs, and 6 Digital Inputs. This bank-isolated model offers two 32-bit counters, supporting various analog input ground-reference settings, including DIFF, RSE, and NRSE. While operating in DIFF mode, the PXI-6233 measures the voltage difference between two AI signals. In RSE mode, this device measures the relative voltage between an AI signal and an AI GND, which is isolated from chassis ground. Lastly, while operating in NRSE mode, the PXI-6233 functions the same as in RSE mode. The I/O Connector of the module is a 37-pin DSUB connector type.
The analog input on this device supports three different triggering actions: pause trigger, start trigger, and reference trigger. This PXI multifunction I/O module comes equipped with an integrated, flexible timing engine. The device has 10 programmable function interface (PFI) signals, consisting of six input and four output signals. Each of these PFI signals can be configured as a static digital input or a timing input signal to be used for counter/timer functions. Moreover, with this device, the user can route various types of timing signals to any of the PFI <6...9> terminals.
The National Instruments PXI-6233 offers protection against overvoltage conditions for each DI, DO, and PFI signal. In addition, the programmable power-up state functionality allows the user to configure the digital output lines to power up as 0 or 1. This module can easily be installed in almost any PXI Chassis.
Designed for indoor use only, the dimensions of the PXI-6233 measure as a standard 3U PXI, and it weighs a total of 5.0 oz (142 g). The environmental specifications of the module include an operating temperature range of 0 ºC to 55 ºC and a storage temperature range of -40 ºC to 70 ºC. The operating humidity is noncondensing, ranging from 10% to 90%. The storage humidity range is also noncondensing, spanning from 5% to 95%.
