This kit capitalizes on a high-speed and reliable MXI-3 technology-based link. The NI VXI-PXI8345 is a viable solution that can be considered for linking any PXI system to a VXIbus. The VXI-PXI8345 comes with fiber-optic cabling. Thus, you can achieve more link distance at even better transmission rates. Another benefit of using fiber-optic links is that electrical isolation is not required between the VXI chassis and the PC.
This MXI-3 VXIbus Interface Kit offers a flexible extension of your PXI system’s PCI bus to your test system’s VXI bus. The NI VXI-PXI8345 can be acquired with a single-port module. The single-port module can be used in any chassis directly connected to the master or controlling PC. The dual-port module comes with an MXI-in and an MXI-out port. Dual-port versions can be used in scenarios where multiple chassis are operated in daisy chain configurations. The NI VXI-PXI8345 is a high-performance and flexible solution.
The National Instruments VXI-PXI8345 MXI-3 VXIbus Interface Kit is designed to support up to 254 links. You can achieve a sustained data transfer rate of 16 Mbytes/s with this kit. The NI VXI-PXI8345 allows you to achieve a maximum link distance of 200 meters, which is much better than the kits with copper cables where links can be stretched only a maximum of 10 m.
VXI-PXI8345 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the MXI-3 VXIbus Interface Kit will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
