The MXI-4 system supplies the necessary resources to integrate CompactPCI, PCI, and PXI devices within a single system. The 778957-01 card can be configured in two primary ways: it can be installed in either the controller slot or a non-controller slot of a compatible PXI/CompactPCI chassis. MXI-4 allows for the connection of multiple PXI chassis in either a star or daisy-chain configuration within a single system. To link two PXI chassis using MXI-4, insert a PXI-8331 (copper) or PXI-8336 (fiber-optic) module into any peripheral slot of the master chassis. Then, use the corresponding cable to connect to a second PXI-8331 or PXI-8336 module installed in slot 1 of the slave chassis.
