The 185845-01(SH68-8DB9 RS485 is compatible with the 8-port National Instruments PXI-8421 Serial Interface Card. This cable is widely used with serial interfaces for CompactPCI and PXI. The NI 185845-01 is designed to support RS485 serial communication. The 68 pins of the SCSI connector on this cable break out into 8 groups; each group contains 9 channels. Thus, each DB-9 connector of this cable provides access to 9 channels of the SCSI connector. The 185845-01 cable is a shielded cable with a total length of 1 meter. Both types of connectors used in this cable are male connectors and can be plugged into relevant female serial interfaces.
