National Instruments NI SPEEDY-33 Signal Processing Engineering Educational Device

The NI SPEEDY-33 (part number: 192788-02) from National Instruments is a Signal Processing Engineering Device that is designed for educational use. The NI SPEEDY-33 is equipped with a J8 USB port that allows the device to quickly link to a regular PC. Boasting incredibly high performance, this user-friendly device is capable of a range of DSP processing abilities- including audio applications facilitated through two analog I/O channels that are sampled at 48 kHz. 512 K × 8 of onboard flash memory included with the NI SPEEDY-33 allows plenty of space to store data including tables and sound waveforms.

8 lines of digital I/O are included on the NI SPEEDY-33, which can be easily programmed using LabVIEW DSP Module software. Once the flash memory of this educational device has been configured, the NI SPEEDY-33 is able to operate independently of the PC. Without the enclosure, the device measures dimensions of 8.89 cm × 12.7 cm × 1.91 cm (3.5 in. × 5 in. × 0.75 in.) and weighs only 87.9 g (3.1 oz).

Designed for indoor use only, the NI SPEEDY-33 should only be operated in educational environments where the temperatures range from 0 to 55 °C. When not being used, the device can be safely stored in indoor environments where the temperatures range from –20 to 70 °C.
