The PC-LPM-16/PnP is a Plug-and-Play Multifunction I/O Board. The NI PC-LPM-16/PnP is designed and manufactured by National Instruments. The assembly number to identify the PC-LPM-16/PnP board is 183527X-01. As the name depicts, this board can perform multiple functions. The basic functions of the PC-LPM-16PnP are Analog Input, Timing Input/Output, and Digital Input/Output. The NI PC-LPM-16/PnP is specifically designed to be a low power consumption device. Therefore, this Multifunction I/O Board is a small sized, affordable board when compared to other I/O boards of similar capabilities. These features make the PC-LPM-16/PnP suitable for use in laboratory equipment and laptop computers.

This Multifunction I/O Board incorporates 16 analog inputs channels. The resolution of the input channels is 12-bit. With timing circuitry, this board can automatically time numerous A/D conversions. The National Instruments PC-LPM-16/PnP also features 8 digital lines for input signals and 8 digital lines for output signals. The digital input channels of the board are only TTL-compatible and do not feature CMOS compatibility. Moreover, the NI PC-LPM-16/PnP board also contains 2 timers/counters with 16-bit resolution.

The compatible driver software for this Multifunction I/O Board is NI-DAQ. Other supported software for the PC-LPM-16/PnP includes LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI.
