National Instruments PCI-7334 Motion Controller Device
Featured with advanced motion control, add-on motion VI libraries, and easy-to-use software tools, the National Instruments PCI-7334 (Part Numbers: 778417-01, 186307C-06) is a Stepper Motion Controller. This device is a combination of a stepper and servo motor controller for PCI bus computers. The NI PCI-7334 offers fully programmable motion control for four coordinated or independent axes of motion. With this Motion Controller, the user can work with complicated and arbitrary motion trajectories by using servo devices or stepper motors.
Servo axes offered by this Motion Controller can control servo hydraulics, servo valves, servo motors, and various other servo devices. Servo axes work in closed-loop mode only and utilize analog inputs or quadrative encoders for velocity and position feedback, along with providing ±10 V analog command outputs. The stepper axes incorporated in this device can contol stepper motors and operate in either open or closed-loop mode. The National Instruments PCI-7334 has a Motorola MC68331, 32-bit, real-time processor coupled with ADSP-2185 DSP (digital signal processor) and FPGAs.
This Motion Controller allows users to execute as many as 10 motion programs simultaneously in a real-time, multi-tasking enabled operating system environment. This device features non-dedicated user I/O with four analog inputs and 32 bit digital I/O. The external digital I/O and motion connectors provided on the NI PCI-7334 Motion Controller are 68-pin, high-density female VHDCI connectors. This device can easily be configured through software and doesn't require jumper adjustments. The device requires the presence of an Application Development Environment such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, or the FlexMotion software. Also, your computer should have a PCI/PXI slot or a 1394 port. The device has 3 connectors which transport to and from the motion system; they are: a 68-pin motion I/O connector-it contains 4 channels of 12-bit A/D inputs for analog input/feedback, a 68-pin digital I/O connector, a RTSI connector-which facilitates synchronization between various National Instruments products.
Each NI PCI-7334 requires:
-MID-7604 Stepper Motor Drive: 777936-01
-SHC68-C68-S 0.5 m Cable: 186380-0R5
-UMI-7764 Universal Motion Interface: 777978-02
-SH68-C68-S 2 m Cable: 186381-02
PCI-7334 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the motion controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
