PCI Controllers
A PCI controller acts as a connection between a PCI bus and the user interface. National Instruments PCI Controllers include Switch Controllers (such as the PCI-4021) in addition to a wide range of Motion Controllers. The Motion Controllers included in this series offer a wide range of functionalities, including Digital I/O (ex: PCI-7314), Stepper/Servo Motion Control (ex: PCI-7356 or PCI-7356), and Remote Control (ex: PCIe-8398). PCI Motion Controllers from NI are able to control up to 8 axes of stepper and servo motion while supporting high-performance stepper generation for smooth motion at high velocities. While much of the PCI platform has been declared obsolete by NI, these modules and controllers will remain available for purchase or repairs with Apex Waves.
