Powered by a universal AC power supply accepting 100 to 240 VAC (90 to 264 VAC operating range at 47 to 63 Hz), the unit draws 8 A to 4 A protected by an integrated 10 A circuit breaker. The internal power supply features high line regulation (<0.2% on +3.3 V; <0.1% on +5 V and +12 V rails) and >70% efficiency under load. It provides extensive DC current capabilities across system rails: up to 32 A on +3.3 V, 27 A on +5 V, 32 A on +12 V, 2.0 A on -12 V, and 2.0 A on +5 VAUX—complete with over-voltage protection clamping between 20% and 30% above nominal. For minimal system downtime, the entire power supply shuttle is field-replaceable in under 5 minutes.
Thermal management is handled by dual 110 CFM fans providing bottom-to-top forced-air cooling (38 W per slot capacity) with selectable High and Auto speed modes for quiet operation. Air is drawn through the bottom rear intake and exhausted along both sides and the top panel. Combining robust electrical protection, modular maintenance, high slot density, and massive backplane throughput, the 781232-01 offers a reliable central platform for complex laboratory and production test environments.
