National Instruments 785689-01 Converged IoT PXI Chassis

Part Number 785689-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments HPE Edgeline EL1000 Converged IoT PXI Chassis. The 785689-01 offers advanced edge computing and high-capacity storage based on open standards. The system holds a HPE ProLiant server cartridge and supports multiple types of server blades like HPE ProLiant m510 Server (Intel Xeon D -8 or 16 cores, up to 128GB RAM) and HPE ProLiant m710x Server (Intel Xeon E3 - 4 cores with GPU, up to 64GB RAM). 

The 785689-01 base system is also available in a variety of models: PCIe I/O cards with 1G pass-through networking (Enterprise), PCIe I/O cards with 10G pass-through networking (Enterprise), or, PXI modules with 1G pass-through  networking (Data capture and control). The PCIe models support 1-2 Full-Height Half-Length PCIe I/O cards (x16 physical), while the PXI SKU supports 1-2 PXI or PXIe modules (hybrid slot) for precision data capture and control. The core network on the 785689-01 is pass-through and not switched. It features a separate 1G RJ45 network port to access the iLO management network. Likewise, all SKUs (stock keeping units) of the HPE Edgeline EL1000 support 2 SFF 2.5” HDDs or SSDs, 2 ports for 1G (RJ45) or 10G (SFP+) network, and 4 ports for USB 3.0. 

The 785689-01 has a typical power consumption of 100 W to 150 W, which can reach up to a maximum of 225 W. The system supports 1 HPE Flex Slot power supply, and AC and DC input options are available.  It measures 3.44 x 13.8 x 9.16 in. in physical dimensions and weighs 8.36 kg. The 785689-01 is recommended for operation between -10 °C to 35 °C at a relative humidity of 8% to 90%. However, depending on the hardware configuration, it can be set up to operate at up to 55 °C. On the other hand, it can be stored between -30 °C and 60 °C at a relative humidity of 5% to 95%. Note that it is meant for use within a maximum altitude of 3050 m.
