Part number 779887-02 from National Instruments is the part number for the PXI-8106 Embedded PXI Controller with Windows Vista and Extended Temperature Capabilities. Windows Vista was the first operating system from Windows with the ability to support a 64-Bit CPU, and it is an excellent counterpart to the Dual Core Intel CPU of the 779887-02. With a standard form factor of a PXI 3U-size module, the controller fully adheres to PXI specifications when it can utilize three controller expansion slots in addition to one system slot.

The operating temperature range of the 779887-02 is 0 to 55 °C (5 °F to 131 °F), an addition of 5 degrees Celsius to both the minimum and maximum ends of the range when compared to the versions of the controller without extended temperature. The range of noncondensing relative humidity in the operational environment is 10% to 90%, while this range is 5% to 95% for storage environments.
