The 780691-02 has a quad-core Intel processor with an on-die L2 cache that boasts a generous 12 MB of cache memory. This cache is divided into 6 MB for a pairing of cores 0 and 1 as well as 6 MB for a pairing of cores 2 and 3. The single-channel DDR2 RAM features an ample 2 GB of memory that can reach a maximum capacity of 4 GB.
The extended temperature range of the 780691-02 means that is has been expanded from a range of 5 to 50 °C (41 to 122 °F) to a range of 0 to 55 °C ( 32 to 131 °F), a feature that works to better protect the controller from severe temperatures.
