The National Instruments 783130-01 PXI Digital Multimeter, an identifying part number for the PXIe-4081 model, is an incredibly accurate 7½-digit DMM. It offers a complete measuring solution by combining the capabilities of an isolated digitizer with a high-resolution 1,000 V digital multimeter (DMM). It does accurate 2- or 4-wire resistance, frequency/period measurements, diode testing, and AC/DC voltage and current measurements as a DMM. It records waveforms at up to 1.8 MS/s in isolated digitizer mode.

With an ADC linearity of 0.5 ppm of reading and 0.5 ppm of range, the 783130-01 provides exceptionally precise DC voltage measurements. It has a high-order DC noise rejection of over 170 dB and an effective common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of over 140 dB (DC) with a 100 ms aperture. The device maintains a low DC voltage input bias current of less than 30 pA at 23°C and permits a minor overrange of up to 105% of the specified range, with the exception of 1000 V.

The DMM supports both AC and DC coupling and for AC voltage measurements, it has an input impedance of 10 MΩ ± 2% in parallel with 90 pF, on average. 2.2 x 10^7 V-Hz is the maximum Volt-Hertz product certified, and 400 V is the maximum DC voltage component; it can handle overrange conditions up to 105% of the range, with the exception of 700 V. In order to improve accuracy, 20 ppm of reading should be added to the 10VDC voltage parameters. Its sample rate range is 10 S/s to 1.8 MS/s; available sample rates are determined by dividing the sample rate by y, which can be anywhere between 1 and 1.8 x 10^5. While the digitizer record length can be as little as two samples or as long as you want, the timebase accuracy equals the chassis's PXIe_CLK100 accuracy.
