The National Instruments PXIe-4190 (Part numbers: 788101-01, 788088-01) is a LCR Meter for testing and measuring the inductance, capacitance, and resistance of electronic devices. This product offers excellent accuracy and precision – it can measure capacitance with F-Class accuracy and has a built-in Source Measure Unit (SMU) that is capable of fA-class current measurement. This LCR meter comes in two variants - part number 788101-01 and part number 788088-01. Part number 788101-01 has a maximum frequency range of 500 kHz and a maximum DC voltage of 10 V, while part number 788088-01 boasts a maximum frequency range of 40 Hz to 2 MHz and a maximum DC voltage of 40 V. To use the PXIe-4190, you will need a PXI Express chassis as well as a PXI Express embedded controller or MXI controller system that meets the system requirements.
The PXIe-4190 also comes equipped with two LED indicators for ease of use. The access status LED indicates whether the device is being powered or accessed, while the voltage status LED lets you know whether the device output is connected to a voltage generation source. In the event of a fault or error due to the voltage generated or measured by the device, the voltage status LED will turn red. Refer to the driver software for possible sources of the error. The device will not operate until the error is cleared and/or the device is reset.
