National Instruments PXIe-2532 PXI Matrix Switch Module

The National Instruments PXIe-2532 (Part Number: 780587-32) is a Matrix Switch Module. This high-speed module is designed in a 3U PXI form factor and has 512 cross points. Thus, it has the largest matrix size available in this category. The NI PXIe-2532 is rated to be used in Measurement Category I applications, since it can carry voltages up to 100 V and can withstand impulse voltages up to 500 V. Users are not supposed to use this module for Category II, Category III, and Category IV measurement applications. This Matrix Switch Module can handle up to 0.5 A maximum current per channel for switching.

The NI PXIe-2532 offers a variety of 1-wire and 2-wire topologies. This PXI Matrix Switch Module has sixteen 2x16 matrices. The high-quality relays incorporated in this model have a release time of 0.25 milliseconds. The National Instruments PXIe-2532 is a PXI Express compatible module which requires only one 3U-size slot for deployment.

The maximum switching power achievable with this module remains around 10 W per channel. It is important to understand that the maximum switching power is a function of the maximum voltage and the maximum switching current. This PXI Matrix Switch Module supports triggering through eight PXI trigger lines (0 to 7) and can recognize triggers generated at a minimum pulse width of 150 ns. However, it can recognize shorter trigger pulse widths while operating with its digital filtering in a disabled condition.

PXIe-2532 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
