The LV-222-510-000 (Part Number: 784796-01) is an Interface Module that offers connectivity between the MIL-STD-1553 and PXI. This Single Function, Single Channel Interface Module provides monitor (MON), bus controller (BC), or remote terminal (RT) operation. The LV-222-510-000 supports all types of MIL-STD-1553 messages. MIL-STD-1553 data busses are widely used in the avionics industry. These busses can maintain a log of bus activity with time-tags in a sequential record file. You can later retrieve the log file for further analysis of your system. The modules incorporated on this card are designed with 6th generation, state-of-the-art protocol engines. This module doesn’t require an external or additional power supply because it takes the required power from the host system.
The LV-222-510-000 is a standard, 3U size module with 16 TTL compatible input/output discrete I/O. This interface card and the modules it carries are designed by Astronics. Each unit is provided with a powerful software suite that assists the users in the installation and configuration of the device. Moreover, the LV-222-510-000 is certified to work with National Instruments LabVIEW. This module is designed with a modular structure, which allows you to add, remove, or interchange modules to achieve the desired formulation. The base card or the host card of the LV-222-510-000 has the capability to host 1 module. Each MIL-STD-1553 module comes with its own hardware resources to handle the protocols and channels associated with it. This interface card incorporated in this module has 2 cores.
