National Instruments PXIe-7858 PXI Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module

The National Instruments PXIe-7858 (Part Numbers: PXIe-7858R and 784147-01) is a Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module featured with a Kintex-7 325T FPGA and 512 MB DRAM. This model offers 8 Analog Input/Output Channels and 48 Digital Input/Output channels. The NI PXIe-7858 module can acquire samples at the rate of 1 MS/s. This model supports DIFF, NRSE, and RSE (software-selectable) input modes. The input signal range is ±1 V, ±2 V, ±5 V, ±10 V. This module operates at ±5 nA input bias and input offset current.

The PXIe 7858 provides overvoltage protection. On the analog input channels, the default settings are ±42 V maximum for the powered-on state and ±35 V maximum for the powered-off state. This module has an output range of ±10 V and supports DC output coupling and additional protection. "Short circuit to the ground" is also provided for its analog outputs. The overvoltage protection settings on the outputs are ±15 V maximum for the powered-on state and ±10 V maximum for the powered-off state.

This Multifunction Reconfigurable I/O Module offers a user-configurable power-on state for all of the analog and digital I/Os. As far as its dynamic characteristics are concerned, this module offers 10 V/µs slew rate and ±10 mV for 3 µs glitch energy at midscale transition. The National Instruments PXIe-7858 can provide 5V output within a range of 4.75 V to 5.1 V and 0.5 at maximum output current, with ±30 V overvoltage and 650 mA overcurrent protection.
