National Instruments PXI-7030/6040E Multifunction I/O

Featured with a dedicated onboard processor and 1 kHz single PID loop rates, the National Instruments PXI-7030/6040E (Part Number: 777837-01) is a 12-Bit Multifunction I/O. This device offers reliable, real-time, and deterministic I/O for control and measurement applications. Since it is from the RT family, the NI PXI-7030/6040E comes equipped with an independent CPU running a real-time OS. With this module, the user will be able to have a LabVIEW application downloaded to take advantage of the real-time environment.

 The infrastructure of this I/O device allows integration of a real-time control task with different measurement devices on the same computer. In case of a computer crash, the real-time system stays in operation and reconnects to the host application automatically. The National Instruments PXI-7030/6040E offers 16 single-ended or 8 dual-ended analog inputs at 12 bits resolution and 100 kS/s sampling rate. This Multifunction Device has an input range of ±0.1 to ±10 V, offers 2 analog outputs, and has an output range of ±10 V. In addition, the NI PXI-7030/6040E offers up to 8 Digital I/O, as well as two 24-bit counters/timers.

As far as its triggering capabilities are concerned, this model can trigger on both the analog and digital signals. This model requires 2 PXI slots for its deployment. By design, the NI PXI-7030/6040E has two components: an I/O daughter board (NI 6040E) and a processor board (NI 7030). To achieve an extended channel count, this device allows the user to add NI SCC or NI SCXI products.

PXI-7030/6040E Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the board will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
