National Instruments SCXI-1339 Terminal Block

The National Instruments SCXI-1339 (Part Number: 777687-39) is a front-mounting Terminal Block. This Terminal Block is designed solely for use with the National Instruments SCXI-1129 Multiplexer Switch. With this Terminal Block, the user can configure the SCXI-1129 as a 2-wire, dual 4 by 32 matrix. For column expansion, the NI SCXI-1339 can also accept matrix expansion cables via row connection. Using the SCXI 1339 with the SCXI-1129 simplifies wiring for analog signals; this arrangement supports both high and low voltage levels.

This Terminal Block can easily be plugged into the front-end connector provided on the SCXI-1129. For more security and to keep the Terminal Block held firmly in position, a couple of thumbscrews are also provided. The maximum channel-to-channel and channel-to-earth working voltage allowed with this model is 150 V. Since it is a measurement category I rated device, the NI SCXI-1339 can only be used with less than or equal to 150 V. However, it is tested to withstand up to 800 V surge voltages. The installation and configuration of this Terminal Block does not require any additional software or hardware resources.

The 4 x 32 matrix achievable with the help of the SCXI-1339 offers the user control of dual, independent 4 x 32 matrixes. In this configuration, the user can make connections to the rows through the Terminal Block or the HVAB, whereas columns can be accessed via the Terminal Block.

SCXI-1339 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Terminal Block will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
