National Instruments ISC-1754 Smart Camera

The ISC-1754 (Part Number: 781684-01) is an SXGA monochrome Smart Camera. The NI ISC-1754 is produced by National Instruments. National Instruments has created many Smart Cameras with different specifications. The rugged metallic housing of each Smart Camera includes digital input/output, a high-performance PowerPC processor, multiple industrial protocols, web servers, and a single image sensor. The ISC-1754 is installed and configured by a LabVIEW real-time module. The NI ISC-1754 can be used with the Vision Builder tool for automated software.

The National Instruments ISC-1754 Smart Camera is installed with a 600 MHz processor. The ISC-1754 is a 1/2-inch Sony ICX205AL CCD monochrome Smart Camera. The NI ISC-1754 features a 1,280 × 1,024 pixel super-extended graphics array (SXGA). This large pixel depth means the ISC-1754 has a resolution four times higher compared to other NI Smart Cameras. The NI ISC-1754 is a more affordable Smart Camera in the NI-17xx Smart Camera series and targets real-time machine vision. A direct drive lighting controller is also included in the ISC-1754 Smart Camera.

The NI ISC-1754 is launched with a single RS-232serial port. The RS-232 port provides aid for synchronizing the ISC-1754 to other 3rd part lighting controllers. The NI ISC-1754 is manufactured with two isolated digital inputs that are used optionally. The ISC-1754 also contains two optionally selected isolated digital outputs. Two Gigabit Ethernet slots are available with the ISC-1754 for easy Ethernet-based communication. The NI ISC-1754 is fabricated with a single quadrature encoder. The ISC-1754 also comes with a direct drive lighting controller.

ISC-1754 Maintenance Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Smart Camera will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
