The National Instruments Universal Motion Interfaces (UMI) can be used with a cable to connect Motion Controllers to third-party power drives. The UMI-7764, for example, can be used with the NI-735x/734x/733x motion controllers. The NI UMI have additional motion features when compared to connector-only screw terminal blocks.
