National Instruments USB-9237 Analog Input Device

The USB-9237 (Part Number: 780137-01) from National Instruments is a 4-channel, 24-bit, high-performance, analog input device for strain and bridge-based measurements. With a design for portability and reliability, this module is compatible with a bus-powered USB carrier and thus can be easily integrated into laptops and other systems. Due to its compact and efficient design, it is preferred for high-speed fracture testing and fatigue or static load testing.

This device provides simultaneous acquisition on all four channels with a maximum sampling rate of 50 kS/s per channel. It supports full-, half-, and quarter-bridge measurements, accommodating various load, force, torque, and pressure sensors, as well as strain gages. For quarter-bridge measurements, additional accessories are required. The USB-9237 features programmable excitation voltages between 2.5 and 10 V with powers of up to 150 mW; for applications with larger power requirements, this board offers support for external excitation sources.

The USB-9237 features RJ50 connectors to connect sensors, ensuring efficient and strong sensor connectivity. Screw-terminal adapters are optional, making customization and integration for a sensor fast and effortless. Enhanced TEDS compatibility provides an easy operation of the sensor configuration for this device. The protection features include up to ±30 V overvoltage and up to 60 VDC isolation between channels and earth ground, allowing for secure and stable operation in an environment with wide variability. The delta-sigma ADC technology onboard offers high resolution and accuracy, and it is precalibrated to high accuracy for applications in harsh industrial conditions.

The USB-9237 also includes the NI-DAQmx driver for configuration, data logging, and signal processing-a powerful platform to get users up and running with their USB DAQ modules. The user can incorporate this device in LabVIEW, ANSI C, Visual Basic.NET, etc. It features LabVIEW SignalExpress LE for the immediate out-of-the-box DAQ and analysis.
