The National Instruments 784343-01 VirtualBench (VB-8034) is an all-in-one test and measurement device that integrates five essential instruments into a compact, portable solution. It features a 350 MHz mixed-signal oscilloscope with four analog channels and 34 digital channels. This offers accurate signal analysis for circuit design, debugging and validation. With a maximum sample rate of 1.5 GS/s per channel and a resolution of 8 bits, the oscilloscope provides detailed signal visualization. It supports DC and AC input coupling with a vertical sensitivity range from 5 mV/div to 5 V/div and input impedance settings of either 1 MΩ || 15 pF or 50 Ω.
This VirtualBench includes a function generator with a 125 MS/s update rate. It is capable of generating sine, square and arbitrary waveforms up to 20 MHz. It offers a 14-bit resolution that ensures precise signal generation for test applications. The device also incorporates a digital multimeter with 5½-digit resolution and supporting functions like AC/DC voltage, current, resistance and continuity testing. This instrument provides robust protection including fuses and reverse voltage protection.
The 784343-01 VirtualBench’s power supply features three programmable DC outputs: a 0 – 6 V output with a maximum current of 3 A and two 0 – 25 V outputs with a 1 A maximum current each. These outputs are isolated and offer precise control and safety when powering circuits. The system includes eight digital I/O channels that provide input or output control through software. These channels are capable of handling 5 V TTL input and 3.3 V LVTTL output with a drive strength of 4 mA. This makes it ideal for controlling external devices or performing simple logic operations.
