Real-time sampling rates reach up to 1 GS/s in single-channel mode (500 MS/s dual-channel) with a 1 MS record length per channel supporting sample, peak-detect, and averaging acquisition modes. Complementing the oscilloscope, the 34-channel logic analyzer utilizes a 2×20 shrouded IDC header, providing digital input frequencies up to 100 MHz, programmable input thresholds from 0 V to 2.0 V (350 mV accuracy), and timing mode sampling rates up to 1 GS/s. Signal generation is handled by a 14-bit function generator via BNC output operating at a 125 MS/s update rate, capable of producing sine (up to 20 MHz), square, ramp/triangle, and DC waveforms into a 50 Ω load with 1 µHz frequency resolution and ≤100 ppm accuracy.
Rounding out the platform, the integrated digital multimeter supports 5.5-digit measurements across 5 ranges, covering DC voltages up to 300 V, AC voltages up to 265 Vrms, and 2-wire DC resistance from 100 Ω to 100 MΩ. The unit also includes programmable DC power supply outputs and an 8-channel general-purpose digital I/O section featuring 5 V TTL-compatible inputs and 3.3 V LVTTL outputs for peripheral device control. Wiring for power and auxiliary signals uses pluggable screw terminals accommodating 0.1 to 2.0 mm² conductors. Rated for operation between 0 °C and 40 °C with a recommended 1-year factory calibration interval, the VB-8012 delivers complete benchtop instrumentation capability in a highly portable form factor.
