Pickering 40-610-021-S-2/32/1 PXI Multiplexer Module
Pickering’s 40-610-021-S-2/32/1 is a screened, high density PXI multiplexer module that is used to provide complex routing capabilities for signals in Automated Test Systems and Data Acquisition Systems. The module is designed as a single slot 3U module providing 64 switch points via 2 independent banks of 32 channels, using a one pole configuration. The module’s screened design will assist in minimizing Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) allowing users to maintain higher levels of Signal Integrity and lower levels of Noise than would otherwise be possible in many systems. The front panel connectivity is provided via a ruggedized 200-pin connector that will allow reliable cabling of the modules into the System’s overall wiring.
This module has been designed to offer flexibility for use in Industrial Automation applications and utilizes reed relay technology to route Analog Signals at voltage ranges of 0 – 150VDC or 0 – 100VAC, with a maximum carry current of 1.2Amps. The architecture of the 40-610-021-S-2/32/1 module also permits simultaneous selection of multiple channels within a bank of switches, thus increasing the rate of testing. One of the most beneficial features of this module is its ability to link the commons of adjacent banks of switches together to create a larger, customized Multiplexer configuration from the base hardware to accommodate specific Channel Count Requirements.
This module is well suited to signal switching in Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Production Test Racks, and Laboratory Data Acquisition Setups. The module is fully supported by a complete software Driver Suite for both Windows and Linux platforms, including IVI and VISA compatibility, to aid developers in developing their solutions in common environments such as LabVIEW, Python and C++. For Maintenance purposes, the module is compatible with Pickering’s eBIRST Diagnostic Tools, which can rapidly diagnose faulty Relays and reduce Downtime. The 40-610-021-S-2/32/1 uses Long Life Instrument Grade Reed Relays, providing stable Contact Resistance and Reliable Operation over Extended Duty Cycles in Demanding Test and Measurement Applications.
