RADX Technologies PXIe-GbE-2x25GbE-CX6 Catalyst PXIe-GbE NIC Module
The PXIe-GbE-2x25GbE-CX6 is a single-slot commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) high-performance PXIe Ethernet Network Interface Card from RADX Technologies' Catalyst PXIe-GbE family of devices. Built on the architecture of the patent-pending Catalyst-X carrier card, this model provides enterprise-class level networking directly to standard PXIe or CPCIe systems. Data transfers between the system GPUs and the integrated PCIe Network Interface Card (the NVIDIA Mellanox MCX631102AN-ADAT) are made possible by this module's support for GPUDirect. This support allows the module to accelerate complex video, signal, and image processing.
The PXIe-GbE-2x25GbE-CX6 features two SFP28 ports that use either standard transceivers or directly attached cabling to support up to 25 GbE of high-speed connectivity. Maximum data throughput is accomplished through the module's PCIe Gen 4 x8 host interface, which also helps to eliminate bottlenecks in the bandwidth.
Since it is based on the Mellanox CX6 network interface card, this PXIe-GbE module is capable of supporting even the most advanced networking applications while reducing latency. Some of the key features of the module include offloads for RDMA and IPsec, and it offers support for the IEEE-1588v2 Precision Time Protocol (PTP). This protocol allows for synchronization across distributed real-time systems down to the nanosecond.
The PXIe-GbE-2x25GbE-CX6 is very easy to install and supports common operating systems like Linux, Windows 10, and Windows 11. Additionally, it works well with standard chassis from NI, Pickering, and Keysight, using standard drivers instead of RADX's custom drivers. These seamless integration capabilities make the module ideal for a wide range of application areas such as real-time data acquisition and high-speed data streaming. Since it is BAA/TAA compliant, it is also an excellent choice for defense and aerospace applications such as Electronic Warfare or Signals Intelligence.
