The PXIe-GbE-4x10GbE-XL710 is a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) PXIe/CPCIe Ethernet Network Interface Card (NIC) module that is manufactured by RADX Technologies. As part of the patent-pending Catalyst family of products, this high performance one-slot module is designed to meet the needs of even the most demanding test and measurement system applications. The architecture of this card allows it to integrate a standard PCIe Network Interface Card (NIC) into the single-slot PXIe form factor, including those from Keysight, NI, and Pickering.
The industry-leading Intel XL710-BM1 PCIe NIC controller is integrated at the center of the PXIe-GbE-4x10GbE-XL710, allowing for enhanced connectivity by offering four high-density SFP+ ports that can deliver a speed of up to 10 GbE each. When combined, the speed capacity reaches 40 GbE. This Catalyst module utilizes a robust PCIe Gen 4 x8 host interface that allows for the full use of its bandwidth directly inside any PXIe chassis slot.
Efficient power usage is one of the standout features of the module, with a low footprint of 10 W per slot. Software integration is incredibly easy, as the PXIe-GbE-4x10GbE-XL710 is compatible with standard operating systems such as Linux, Windows 10, and Windows 11. Because the module uses standard Intel drivers, there is no need for customized RADX drivers, which simplifies maintenance in the long-term.
